BATIK for all people in the WORLD!

Batik is not only a piece of cloth with picture on it.
maybe we'll think twice or more to know the meaning. Batik is only a cloth with picture, right? yeah you're right! it's almost same with the other clothes, but, something you have to know that Batik is different with the others is about the processes, how to make it.We aren't using stamp to make the "real" Batik, but. we use pencil, malam, canting, pan, fire/stove, gawangan, colours and cloth (silk or mori).
what're they? okay let discuss them.
1. pencil is used for make a pattern. what kind of motive that we wanna make. there're so many Batiks' motive in Indonesia, e.g: parang, ceplok, sidomukti, etc
2. Malam is something like a candle and it's used to stop the color liquid absorbed.
3. canting is like spoon and it's used for scoop the malam.
4. pan is used to put the malam and colours
5. fire or stove is used to melt the malam.
6.gawangan is used to put the cloth
7. colours, you know from the name, it's used to give the color on the cloth
8. cloth is the most important thing to make Batik. the best Batik is made from Silk.
Can you say that Batik is easy to make? hehehe, it's a little bit difficult for me to explain (I'm Sorry)
I think Batik is really necessary to be recognized by the world, and luckily on Sept 28 2009 Batik was recognized by UNESCO :)
what a good news that is! We are as Indonesian people celebrate it.
In my town, Solo, we held "kirab". and all of us were wearing Batik. It's nice!
I and my friends were also wearing Batik like this
