The Differences of Food between Indonesia, Arabian, and Germany
Every single country has its own lifestyle. We can see the differences of WESTERN and EASTERN from the food they consumed in everyday life. Eastern is famous with its vegetables and fish, but Western is famous with its meet and fast food. Last October 15, 2011, I joined Tourist Hunt event at Borobudur Temple. I asked 2 foreigners about food, they came from Germany and Arabian. The name of Germany’s foreigner is Mrs. Astrid and the Arabian’s is Mr. Abu Bakar.
Both of them like Indonesian foods very much. Mrs. Astrid said that Indonesian food is very healthy, because there’s lot of vegetables and fruit. She said that the characteristic of Indonesian foods is spicy. In Germany, the most famous foods are beef and sausage. Germany people almost eat beef and sausage every day. In Germany, they can find vegetables also, but they rarely add it into their cook.
Not too different from Mrs. Astrid, Mr. Abu Bakar said that Indonesian food is very nice. Indonesian people always eat rice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. He has an opinion that it’s a little bit unhealthy, because rice contains lot of sugar inside and it’s bad for our health. In Arabian, we can find any kind of food from each country in this world, because we know that Arabian is the centre of Moslem people around the world so that the people serve many kinds of food there.
